All of our teachers are professional, passionate musicians. Cherrybrook Music caters to your personal needs and aspirations. We believe musics should be fun no matter the level of playing, genre, or commitment. Meet our teachers below.

Bradleigh Ferreira (Guitar/Bass/Ukulele/Songwriting)

bradLeigh Ferreira is one of our very talented and passionate teachers. He is 26 years old and has worked in the music industry for over 8 years. Brad Completed a Bachelor in Contemporary Music at the Australian Institute of Music. He has played with many bands, artists, and projects around Australia. With a passion for music and a love for his craft Brad is fun, energetic, easy going and experienced teacher. Brad loves playing a wide variety of genres including Jazz, Blues, Rock, Pop, funk, soul and many more. Brad is also the founder and director of Cherrybrook Music.

Andy Clews (Drums/Bass/Guitar/Band)

ANDY CLEWS IS A CherryBrook Music teacher who specialises in GUITAR, BASS, DRUM and music production. HE HAS BEEN PLAYING FOR OVER 18 YEARS AND TEACHING FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS. HE STUDIED AT THE AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF MUSIC, AND HAS BEEN WORKING PROFESSIONALLY AS A TOURING/SESSION MUSICIAN, WITH a FOCUS ON LIVE PERFORMANCE, SONGWRITING, AND MUSIC PRODUCTION FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS.

BRYN DOUGLAS GRADUATED FROM THE AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF MUSIC WITH A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN MUSIC IN 2012, WHERE HE MAJORED IN VOCAL PERFORMANCE. SINCE THEN HE HAS MADE A LIVING AS A PROFESSIONAL WORKING MUSICIAN IN SYDNEY WITH EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN LIVE PERFORMANCE, VOCAL/GUITAR TUITION, STUDIO SESSION WORK, AND MUSIC PRODUCTION

 

ALLIE RICHIES (Piano/Vocals)

Allie is another fantastic cherrybrook Music teacher from a little state called Connecticut in the USA, Allie loves Australia! She has studied classical piano since she was 13 and vocals since she was 9. When she graduated high school, Allie studied classical piano and jazz vocal in college earning an associates degree in music performance. Currently she is in her 3rd year at Hillsong College studying songwriting. She loves playing and writing in all types of genres, especially Jazz. She loves music theory, analysing music, and figuring out why it makes people feel the way it does. most importantly, her favourite superhero is Batman!

LARISA MILER (Violin/ Vocals)

Larisa is a Cherrybrook music teacher who recently graduated from Avondale College (private Christian institution at Central Coast) with a Bachelor of Arts (Double Major in Music, minor in History), focus on violin. Throughout her studies, Larisa also had the chance to do a year of Vocal studies, specifically Classical singing. Apart from studying, Larisa had the opportunity to perform with several orchestras and instrumental ensembles.

Larisa is very passionate about music and even more about sharing her learned knowledge to her students. She has been teaching for almost three years now and is able to accommodate all ages in both violin and voice, providing a rounded approach by incorporating musicianship and music theory throughout every instrumental and vocal lesson.

 

STEVIE POUNDER (Vocal, Piano, Guitar)

Stevie has been singing and performing on stage since the age of 10. She completed her bachelor of music at the Australian Institute of Music at the end of 2017. She has also completed level one and two in the Estill Voice training method that included an in-depth study, focusing on the science of the larynx. Stevie’s passion is music and teaching, creating a fun atmosphere to learn in.
